Shambho: A name for Shiva as Shambhu, the simple one, the ascetic. Mahādeva: Great ("mahā") God ("deva"), a name often used for Shiva. Hara: A name for Shiva meaning "the destroyer," as in the destroyer of ignorance, illusion, and doubt.
